Privacy Policy

KidForms helps parents and guardians fill out the forms their kids need. This page explains, in plain language, what information KidForms collects, why, and what we do and do not do with it.

What we collect

• Your account. Your email address and a password. The password is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider; we never see it.
• Family details you choose to save. Things like your kids’ names, birthdates, school details, allergies, emergency contacts, and any other answers you save so future forms fill themselves.
• Your forms. The forms you upload and the filled copies we create for you.
• Your signature, if you choose to save one for signing forms.
• Service usage records. For each AI request we record the type of request, how many tokens it used, and what it cost us to run. These records are about operating the service, not profiles of your family.

How we use it

Only to run KidForms for you. When you ask us to read or fill a form, we send that form and the saved details needed to fill it to our AI provider (Anthropic) through our own server, which holds the access keys so your browser never does. Our providers process data on our instructions to deliver the service.

Where it lives and how it is protected

Your data is stored with our database provider (Supabase), encrypted in transit and at rest. Access rules in the database ensure that only the signed-in members of your own household can read your family’s records. Files such as forms and signatures are served through private, time-limited links rather than public URLs.

What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not share your family’s information with anyone except the service providers needed to operate KidForms, and only for that purpose.

Children

KidForms is built for parents and guardians. Information about children is provided by their parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.

Your choices

You can view, edit, or remove saved family details at any time inside the app.

Download my data. In the app, open your account menu and choose Download my data. You get a single file containing every child, every saved answer, your family details, your saved signatures, and both the original and filled copies of every form. It is prepared in your browser and no request to us is needed.

Delete my account. In the app, open your account menu and choose Delete my account. After you confirm, we permanently remove your children, your saved answers, your family details, your forms and the stored files behind them, your signatures, your usage records, and your login itself. This cannot be undone and there is no grace period. We offer you a copy of your data before you confirm. If another parent or guardian shares your family, their copy of the family stays with them and we remove your access and your login.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, it is removed at that point, not queued for later.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
